boattart Posted March 12, 2015 Share Posted March 12, 2015 (edited) Had a phone call from Mother Nature Tuesday afternoon and she said the weather was going to be too good to work and I should go fishing instead on Wednesday. Well she did keep up her end of the bargain and despite and bit of heavy cloud early but no rain it all soon cleared into a glorious day. The close in bait from Monday had thinned out a bit but was still nice water. Around the 80fm I made the call to switch to some heavier lures and a purple Wide range went up the left rigger. Before we could change the right rigger I heard the snap and the reel screamed. After originally calling it as a small Blue because of its acrobatics we eventually pulled along side a nice striped marlin that must have been on steroids. Was a great start to the day and although it was the only bite for us for the day it was a pleasure to be out there.
