mitchie18092
Just a quick report - went down to my usual spot with a mate around 5 this morning. Dead for a good 3 hours other than a squid and a cuttlefish. Birds started appearing so threw a ganged pillie out and saw some fish swoop in from below. I tied on a plastic on my bream stick and my mate a 40g metal. In 45 minutes I spun up 4 macs and my mate 2 bonnies. Had one squid bait out earlier which accounted for the trev. Other than that, a few snapper, bream and a bunch of tailor around 30-35 which is bigger than what I've seen the past few months. Threw one out live and actually got a big take on it but no hookup. Quick swim and home we went. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Edited March 12, 2015 by mitchie18092

Ryder
That's a good effort, after 3 hrs many would give it away. I'm glad they came on for you. Being landbased makes it more challenging. They're on and gone. Well done.

Marlin01
They actually look like frigate mackeral, great live baits, big king jelly beans. Nice session. Marlin01
Marcel
The bottom one looks like mac tuna because of the spots under gills and the other 3 in the middle look like frigates
mitchie18092
i stand corrected. filleted them to salt as bait and noticed the colour difference in the flesh. Are the frigates any good to eat?
Marcel
Frigates aren't good eating but very good bait as they are full of blood just my opinion
