Guest hawkesbass Posted May 3, 2015 Share Posted May 3, 2015 (edited) Hit up the protected bays around the eastern suburbs on saturday and sunday. On saturday fished with royce and mark. Fished the rising tide for consistant bites and dropped fish between us. The bites stopped about two hours into the runout. We got 18 between us with royce taking the honours with most fish landed. I was not going too fish on sunday but mark left some gear in my car. So sunday i met royce,mark and paul to return marks gear the guys were into the fish so i returned to the car grabbing my rod and joining them for a fish. This spot was firing with plenty of fish landed between us all with throwbacks aswell. 19 keepers landed between us. Cheers trevor. luderick -angler Posted May 5, 2015 Share Posted May 5, 2015 Well done The usual spots in the harbour around the inner west have been very poor since the rains so probably the dirty water has had a part to play Regards Thanks for the kind words the key to success for the conditions we experienced over the last few weeks to get fish is to either find very deep water I am talking 20 feet plus or the very lowest reaches of the habour where you get the tidal influence in big swells very protected less such as Fishermans beach at dee why can produce but caution and experience are still needed! Burnsey Posted May 5, 2015 Share Posted May 5, 2015 Great work guys - brilliant haul. I've become addicted to blackie fishing and chase them regularly on the northern beaches. Caught several in a short session late Sat in north harbour. Weed has been destroyed on our local rock platforms and I had to work hard to get it last weekend.
