Fishing Broken Bay

Hi Raiders,

Sorry bout the lateness of this post; got up early on Thur and on the water by 6:30. Went out to a couple marks in close and a little wider in Broken Bay, all for zero keepers! Tried some normal haunts (Valiants)... again nothing doing.

Two bites only, and one undersized flathead in about five hours... Very slow to say the least. Tried the normal ground but there was a lack bait around... or what we could find anyway.

Came back into Hawksberry River to my back-up - always fish - plan; again one bite and another small undersized flathead.

Saw not one trawler working the river... should have picked up that hint before burning fuel.

Anyway, bad day on water beats a good day at work anytime... good luck to anyone heading out over the weekend. Love to hear any reports from BB and the river as I am taking some interstate people for a fish on Wed next week.
