Brendan_G
Hey Raiders, Heading up to Nelson Bay in 2 weeks for a 2 night holiday and was wondering what are some good spots for fishing land based in that area. Heard that the break wall is a cracker spot and near the fish co op but wanted some more advice on the tackle I should take and some bait i should use. Also is it true that the break wall has some Big Kingfish lurking around because I would be interested in trying to catch them on some light gear for fun. P.S This may sound stupid but are there any waves that crash onto the break wall if so I will take a life vest in case I get swept into the water better to be safe than sorry. Cheers
Scratchie
Hey mate, No you will not get washed off the breakwall. If you did it would mean a tsunami. Check this post out and it may help you! http://www.fishraider.com.au/Invision/index.php?showtopic=75391&page=3#entry552568

cameldownunder
I allways seem to snag the bottom there. What would be the best Rig? Bait underr Floater?
Scratchie
I allways seem to snag the bottom there. What would be the best Rig? Bait underr Floater? Depends what your fishing for. But lightly weighted works best for bream. No weight with fresh squid on a snelled rig into the current for kings. And general luderick set up for blackfish.
