Left the marina around 7am. Straight to our first spot at longy. Swell was about 2m. Wind around 15kph. Depth was around 30m. Current was ok. First hour was slow. Target was snapper and flatty. Got pillys striped tuna squid for bait. Drifted up to 2pm. Caught 3 morwong up to 50cm. 2 snapper up to 40cm. 4 flattys up to 45cm. 1 nannygai. Caught plenty of rubbish fish. Decided to check out the artificial reef. Only caught a pike in one hour so decided to head back. Home by 6pm.

Thanks for reading.

Very similar experience off the stink pipe south of The Heads. Flathead, whiting, snapper, morwong were on the chew. The current and wind velocity were kind to us and made for a great day of winter fishing.
