gavw
Hi Raiders ive been dying to go for a fish, and this sunday is my only chance. planning to go clifton early morning tomorrow, ive been reading the weather forcast and wanted to make sure its safe to take the boat out. The forcast wind prediciton mention it will reach 25knot wind. thats sound kinda scary. does any one have any advice, or should i just stay put and go another day. mike2153
I wouldn't say you would be risking your life but it isn't worth going it gets so choppy and cold and you probly wouldn't be able to anchor in that wind and wouldn't be able to fish. Ric001
Small issues can get way out of hand in those conditions and simple judgement errors can cost more than just dollars from broken equipment. If you have to ask if it's safe then you already know it's not. Stay inside and get your gear ready for better days. antonywardle
I went for a walk through the botanical gardens today and found a spot to have a quick go with my collapsible rod. About 10 minutes later a very nice lady ranger came along and showed my where I should be fishing because you aren't allowed to fish in the gardens. I did say that I'd looked for no fishing signs, and she was very understanding. I think they have to worry about people getting hooked. Anyway I liked that she went with the education approach rather than getting all fired up at my newbie mistake.
