Cairns Trip - September/Oct

I have booked a family holiday up in Cairns for the last week of September and as part of it I would like to fit in one day out on the reefs. Can anyone recommend or give guidance on charters or other options up there - PMs of course for any charters.

Also as we will be flying up I won't be taking much gear - do most charters supply the gear? I was going to maybe fit in a light travel rod or something but probably nothing sufficient to use for GTs or anything.
