Guest Guest123456789 Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 (edited) Hi Raiders, Am I right in saying that the NSW government has just banned (as of 31st August) recreational fishing in key parts of Byron Bay, Coffs Harbour, Port Stephens, Jervis Bay and Batemans Bay? http://www.marine.nsw.gov.au/key-initiatives/ocean-beaches-and-headlands-assessment/current-arrangements-in-marine-parks Edited September 14, 2015 by Guest123456789
Ric001 Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 Looks like the shore based fishos are te winners as the ave cganged mist of the areas to be habitat protection instead of sznctuary zones. Boaters are sill out if luck but we havd a big ocezn to fish . Sent from my SM-T800 using Tapatalk
Guest Guest123456789 Posted September 15, 2015 Posted September 15, 2015 From what I can see areas I used to fish I no longer can. Check out the pic below, we holiday at Clarkes beach Byron bay and fish near the pass. Caught some great long toms and have very fond memories. Fishing is now banned here
Crossfire63 Posted September 15, 2015 Posted September 15, 2015 If the greens get their way wait until the next one is announced Broken Bay to Port Hacking
piratesgold Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 oooh that area looks popular, lets close it. or no one fishes there, so we will monitor it, and if they start to use it we will close that too! that's my cynicism done for today!
