ambrose607 Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 Hi Raiders. I'm looking to buy some garden worms for bait. Anyone know of any places in the Campbelltown area? I don't want to order online need for Sunday if possible.
fragmeister Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 (edited) Geeze mate I don't fancy your chances of an online order and delivery for Sunday. I'd start digging if I were you! if you were closer to my place I would invite you around to my compost bins. Edited September 18, 2015 by fragmeister
batfishing Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 Does our new sponsor have a machine there at all? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
ambrose607 Posted September 18, 2015 Author Posted September 18, 2015 I checked Baitngo Ian cause i really want to give their machines a go. Unfortunately nothing close to me. fragmeister please read the post again i clearly stated i don't want to order online.
Ryder Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 Oh if you only asked earlier. I've been digging out glogged drain pits for a few days. Full of leaves, compost but alive with big worms.
batfishing Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 Campbelltown, wet weekend, take a shovel and a drive, shouldn't take long at all Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
ambrose607 Posted September 18, 2015 Author Posted September 18, 2015 Ha ha ha. I got told of a place close to home by a guy i started talking to in the fishing section at a well known cheap department store. I'll take lures for the Bass but want worms for the big cat fish so i can tick them off my haven't caught list.
batfishing Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 When I lived in Cmpbelltown, it was pretty much a case of the backyard! And if you want to future proof yourself, set up a worm farm Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
ambrose607 Posted September 18, 2015 Author Posted September 18, 2015 I'm thinking about doing that. Thanks for your input Ian much appreciated.
batfishing Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 You could probably go to Tim's garden store, grab a worm starter kit.... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
JohnDory Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 Back road from my place to Campbelltown is a place that sells worms? ?? near Airds ?? i will update DB
GreasePit Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 Try filling a bucket with water and a good splash of dishwashing liquid or detergent, find a nice soft patch of soil, pour and let the worms come to you. You'll usually get 15 odd worms come out of the ground doing this. As a kid i used to use them as bait for koi carp in my dam.
