NaClH2OK9 Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 I was reading through some game fishing articles about lures and teasers, in more than one article I was reminded that the boat itself is the biggest attractant of all. Then like a lightbulb goes on, it occurred to me you could turn your whole hull into a teaser with stencils of bait fish or squid stuck or painted on the underside. At first i thought i had just dreamt up something incredible and new, my god I can patent it and be rich !!!. Sadly, google has shown me that others have already though of this. But I’ve never seen it applied to any boats. I’m imaging it would be pretty easy to get some laser cut stickers (perhaps reflective so the bounce light back into the water). made up or even cheaper cut a stencil out and spray paint directly onto the boats underside! I’m interested in your thought. Pointless or amazing ?
rockfisherman Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 I like the idea... Stupid question, but would any large sea animals accidentally go in for a bite, only to head butt your hull Harry
oz_brett Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 even better for alloy boat owners - after a few years the hull looses its shine, make a stencil then polish over the stencil with autosole making shiny patches resembling a light coloured fish.
srxwat4 Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 Why not attach clips to the hull and then have an array of lures, when you get back to the ramp just check for fish.
