Fish ID please (Australian Salmon)

Hi, caught this 3 weeks ago in the Tuross River, upstream near the Princes Hwy bridge. There was an enormous inflow of fresh water into the system a week or so before.

Thanks johndory. I've caught several Aussie Salmon in Botany Bay, but this fish had what I thought were much larger scales - about 8mm diameter. Is this typical for upriver Salmon?

I first thought Salmon but when I saw the scales was guessing maybe a Carp.
