We talking about the same one? The yellow marker was replaced earlier this year. The Tripod still seems to have the vertical pylon but is missing the angled ones. You can see where they were and have been unbolted.,
GoingFishing
The one I'm talking about used to be adjacent to Nielsen Park? Is that the same one !?

fragmeister
A few weeks ago I spoke to a crew of Maritime workers who were inspecting the Tripod. They said they had no idea what had happened to the three angled poles that surround the central pilon. They had diving gear ready for a closer inspection. They all looked to be in good condition and you could see the bolts that held them in place. It looked as if they were simply unbolted and taken away. Not sure if anything has been done about it yet but I hope its fixed because this has been a good kingy spot over the years albeit a difficult one if hoodlums show up as they hang very close to the structure and can be very difficult to stop. mike2153
They hve been missing since winter, I remember we had a big storm and seas, I went out the next week and 1 or 2 sticks were missing then the third went a few weeks later. Does anyone know what the purpose of that marker is?
