krause
Hi all, found a broken pen prevail fishing yesterday. I thought seeing its a 250 dollar rod id keep it and see what happens. Its a 2pc 10-15kg 10ft i think, and is snapped in the middle at the join. Seeing its 10-15kg there is so little flex in the middle so I might be able to permanetly fix the halfs without effecting the action to much? Other options are sell the perfect condition bottom half, or pull it apart and use the parts to build a different rod? But yer, $250 rod just lying there, why not regardless of it being broken! Cheers guys
nickb111
Are both top and bottom pieces broken at the join? If not get into contact with penn and ask for a replacement part!
krause
Bottom is perfect. Top is shattered at the sleeve. How much does a replacement cost?

allen_f
If you cant get that 2nd piece, take off the eye and turn it into a gopro pole for the kayak!!! hehe, better that than let it sit around doing nothing
krause
Haha not a horrid idea. Im thinking of typing the guides off so i can rebuild an old rod with 'free' guides!
