Reggae
Dropped the boat in at patonga this morning and headed out to flint and steel with a mate... After many drifts across the reef we finally managed to catch what had been picking off our baits for over and hour... a nice leather jacket. Not being really set up for these we decided to keep drifting further up the Hawkesbury. There was a fair bit of bird action and a few bait bubbles but we didn't have slicers so just threw out some pillies and managed to hook a tailor. There is plenty there at the moment because we managed to catch another 3 in under an hour. After the wind picked up a bit we decided to drift the rocks on the flint and steel side and managed to catch a few flatties. A pretty good day out on the water so we are going to have another crack tomorrow... This time armed with a few slicers. Reggae
RexSenior
G'day Reggae Not a bad day's fishing gotta be happy with that. Was there much size in the flatties? Heading back to the river in 2 weeks for a fishing trip. I'll be land based and fishing the stretch from Juno Point to Little Wobby, I'd love to hear any info on how that area has been fishing if you know? Cheers, James.
