Spent day drifting front of Barrenjoey across river mouth to Lion Island until wind came up and blew us off the water.

Headed inside and found a sheltered cove along from Flint and Steel.

Landed a feed of flathead but the trawlers were busy and I suspect were stirring the fish up and they were few and far between.

Finished day in Coal and Candle creek, with plenty of bites and small snapper but nothing worth keeping.

Its great to be on the water but sometimes its also great to get amongst some kings or big surface fish.
