Three Wednesdays in a row have yielded a feed of flathead ,plus plenty of other species using mainly prawns and a couple of large squid. Yesterday kept 4 flatties and put back about 10 flathead plus flounder,whiting,tailor,small shovel nose and was bitten off by what was probably a small hammerhead chasing the trawlers. Despite the trawlers going either side ,the outgoing drift was productive and worth a go. Looked a bit doubtful at Akuna Bay but day fined up and it was pleasant on the water. Any day fishing beats any day doing anything else.

Spent day drifting front of Barrenjoey across river mouth to Lion Island until wind came up and blew us off the water. Headed inside and found a sheltered cove along from Flint and Steel. Landed a feed of flathead but the trawlers were busy and I suspect were stirring the fish up and they were few and far between. Finished day in Coal and Candle creek, with plenty of bites and small snapper but nothing worth keeping. Its great to be on the water but sometimes its also great to get amongst some kings or big surface fish.

Try drinking coca cola and eating dry biscuits saves getting dopey on tablets .Works every time for me.

Checked weather, wind and tides and all looked perfect. Headed out from Akuna Bay and all the way the water was full of debris and fresh. Tried all the usual spots off Palm Beach and back around Barrenjoey and flint and Steel. The wind picked up early and made drifting almost impossible. Still a good day on the water.

Fished drift off Barrenjoey the back up off Juno Point. Plenty of just legal flatheads and flounder. Shovel nose sharks became a nuisance. Kept one Flathead, great to be out on the water,

Fishing for flathead on drift off Barrenjoey Headland in Hawkesbury. Set line with full squid grabbed by two metre hammerhead. Brought to boat and released.

If the fish were there everytime it would be called Catching not fishing so sit back chill out and await that almighty cry of "we are on" it will happen .Hey Winch your hands are ok but I don,t know about The Boos porno mo.bit scary for a man who eats fish eyes.Hope to get on board soon and get amongst them.I have attached some photos of the Grandslam to keep you all inspired.Gaz

You guys have now experienced what real fishing with the Hunters is like.I had an experience with Ross last year when we GRAND SLAMMED and caught 16 marlin over 2 days.We fished a few days before you this year,but the weather was against us and the fish were scarce.It is truly a great experience fishing with Ross and Glenn and I have been doing that for some years now.I would suggest to any one who wants to go game fishing the Hunters are the team to do it with. If there are fish there they will find them if they are not well it is called fishing not catching ,so you can,t get them everytime you go after them. Me and the Maroubra boys have a day up our sleeve due to the bad weather and when we get back out there we will send in the photos, hopefully lots of them. Gazza
