paggles
had a quick flick at the end of charles street in ryde today with 2 cousins and my sis....after about 20 minutes i had my first ever catch using sp's i landed a decent flounder then 10 minutes later my cousin had a small flatty....both were caught using 4" dark green gulp worms which were a mess after i left em in the hot car all day....i had to mould my own lures go the sp's

crystalliser
Congratulations paggles! Yes, sp's do work and I'm sure you'll be catching other species in your future sp'ing days!
Guest madsmc
Good stuff Paggles. I've got plenty of flathead on Sp's but no Flounder yet, so your doing well mate. You gotta be careful with the Gulp's in the heat though. Shane

Guest madsmc
Yeah, I used to think Sp's were expensive too, then I started buying fly gear Shane
Tony Soprano
Good work Paggles... Quite a coincidence, I managed to get my first ever fish on a SP yesterday, and I was using the same 4 inch gulp worms in watermelon... Mine was only a little 30cm flatty but I'm so glad as I have now assured myself that these things do work...
paggles
I think ill leave fly fishing alone for a decade or so im saving up for a boat and yeah the gulps cost me $11 which isnt much considering how much good bait and burley costs.......... Tony, i reckon i landed the flounder only because the gulps were soggy from the heat and if watermelon is the dark green colour with black spots, thats what i was using.... thanks for the raps fellas Go the SP's and the dragons next year
