New to boating and tin can bay

Hey raiders,

I'm pretty new to fishing, I've done a bit of land based stuff before but over Easter for 10 days I'm getting access to a small tinny (4.5hp) at tin can bay. The bloke lending it to me is going away but has said fishing for him has been fairly quite lately (he normally takes out a larger boat). So the question is has anyone had much luck fishing there lately? And can anyone give me some tips for my first outing in a boat?
