Fish Competitions in the Far North Coast, NSW ?

Hey Fishraiders!

I have recently become a member after many months of reading very interesting posts on this website, so I decided the nice thing to do would become a member. As like most of you I am addicted to all things about fishing.

I am also interested in entering fishing competitions, I live in Brunswick Heads, NSW and if any of you guys know of any good competitions in my area (within 200Km) I would love to take part.

I have a boat and a fishing buddy so all sorted there. Never been in a comp so have no idea on what is required (apart from catching fish!). I have read that some comp's you need live-wells etc

Any information would be appreciated

Many Thanks :)

There's a few general as well as specialised comps around here.

The Ballina Big Fish Bonanza, the Greenback Tailor comp in June & the Evans Head Classic

are the three general public comps with big prizes.

There's always a Bass Electric comp at Clarrie Hall Dam. There's also bream comps on the

Tweed River throughout the year.

You won't need a live well for the general comps but will for the Bass & Bream.

Cheers,

Grant.
