Landbased fishing port botany monument

Does anyone know if you're allowed to fish landbased from the area around the port botany monument?

Pretty sure it's a no due to injuries to anglers climbing the wall!

Even if you do go down onto the break wall you'll have to compete with the locals.

Hmm if you're allowed I reckon I'd risk fighting the locals I've heard of some good fish caught off boats not far from there

Have you thought about climbing back up? Those boulders arent small, and if you injure yourself itll be a while before help will get to you

Pretty sure there are signs up there saying no fishing. And there are similar rock walks in the illawarra, they are almost impossible to traverse. Not impossible, but veeeery close

Bugger that! Hire a kayak or boat and paddle there instead

Ive had run ins with those locals out the back of terrigal skillion...they can move a lot quicker than you would think and dont give up!

Went for s drive around yesterday and saw a couple signs saying no fishing. The rocks themselves also look difficult to traverse. Not that I'd let that get in the way of a good fish. I do love a challenge especially if it results in some good fishing. I ended up at Browns rock. I didn't take any bait. I was just flicking bekeley gulp soft plastics, an x rap and a cranka crab around. Got a good bonito on the x rap but lost while I was trying to extend my net so it would reach the water. Not much interest after that
