The President
My favourite time is a low tide about 4pm (EST) in the afternoon. Fish one hour before and an hour after the tide change. Preferably little wind and clear water without any recent rain. You'll catch squid both morning and afternoon.

Ribs
Squid are usually night feeders so at dusk they are hungry and sunrise IF fed are nice and full , however squid are always looking for a feed and my biggest at 2kg was caught at midday in 1 metre of water..... Buy a good jig and flick away

iamthecowgodmoo
I find it's best to target them in the first few hours after dark. Aim for the shallow areas that are lit up. Usually around the edge of weed beds.
