What i like better about the shimano: Castability and the fact you dont need to flip the bail arm over, just turn the handle which is good for fishing buzzbaits on top water Freams: Drag smoothness and control, finish and line capacity. If you aren't an individual that treats their reels with kit gloves (I am horrible to my stradic) then I would go with the stradic over the freams. Cargo05 Posted June 2, 2016 Share Posted June 2, 2016 I can't comment on the Daiwa Freams reels but have a number of Stradic Ci4 and Ci4+ reels. They are great reels.
