Old Bar/ Wallabi Point

G'Day All, would anyone be able to tell me what the crossings are like getting out to sea around Old Bar Wallabi Point area and more importantly is there a good Pub close by

Mate , I'm pretty sure the only access to the sea is Forster to the south and Crowdy to the north...

PS. theres a rissole or bowlo in old bar. not sure which, but theres pubs in taree or foster

I believe chopper is correct with those entries.

As for pub, harrington has some good ones.

If you're hungry, forster has a great buffet at the bowls club

You don't want to try and go through the mouth at Old Bar or Harrington. The best option is to launch at Crowdy Head, there's no bar to cross and it's got a great 4 lane pontoon ramp. Or there's Forster to the south, there's a bar to cross, you can view the cam here http://www.marine-rescue.com.au/bom/liveCam.html

Was fishing off Old Bar a few days ago, there's a lot of pearl perch, reds and flathead about.
