Bashir
its just all the unwanted fishing/boating gear that the club members sell - a bit of everything, some real good bargains and a few things the bidding gets a bit stupid like any auction I guess. gb1
what kinda stuff is there.. do u have to by shit loads to get a good price The auction is well supported by local tackle stores so we get a good range of new rods, reels, plenty of line and hooks, as well as second hand equipment from club members. You can buy 1 box of hooks or enough gear to get the the wife very irritated Suggest you get there by 6.30 and have a close look at the items, to ensure you know what you are bidding on. Its a lot of fun cool, I went last year and bought heaps of stuff. Bash We spent the last couple of nights itemising all the bits and pieces, and, during discussions, about last year, an individual was mentioned who seemed to have a very large wallet - other than Doug Walters. Were you that person - hope to see you there

gb1
Is the club the benificiary or do the $$ go to charity? The auction is used to fund, primarily, the club's operation during the year, and, as we are an active club and meet weekly, the outgoings are not covered by our subscriptions. We do, however, run "charity nights" as part of our weekly programs, with the benficiaries being local organisations.
