Shimano Bottom Ship

Picked up a few Shimano Bottom Ships and looking for some advice on putting them together.

Thanks mate, I have looked through google and can't find what I'm after. I can't work out how to feed the cord through and fitting the retaining ring without completely pulling the lure apart.

Peter not sure what you're after but it looks like you just thread the cord thru the hole them turn the ring back over itself like your making a cats paw. Is the problem connecting to the split ring.

Looking at the photo on the YouTube clip  is this what you mean. Not the opening of the clip but where you see the split ring.

Feed assist hook cord through lure then attatch solid ring.

I removed the ring and have feed it through, just need to work out threading the ring back on.

Really simple, just do a one turn Catspaw knot.

I have attached the ring and now can see how simple it is. Not sure what I was thinking before, but thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

No worries Pete, good luck with this as well.

It gives me a idea on where to use one, though some big critter may eat it and take it home.
