samjames95
Headed out offshore today with dad and a mate. Started at 5 with an hour or so catching 20 or so live yakkas, then headed offshore to the wider reefs. This started in the 60's working right up to the 100m mark. Suprisingly, nothing on the live bait - apart from once; with a yakka coming up bitten clearly in half. Did reasonable on mowies, nannygai, piggies and longfin perch. The larger male we pulled up was 41cm! Dont think ive seen one that big for a while, eaten fresh and tasted fantastic.
