Wellzy94
Hit Vaucluse early this morning, to fish the run-in tide. Got there and set up just before light. Was hoping to find some cabbage on the rocks, but took some baits just in case - thankfully, because there wasn't any! Missed the first down, first cast. After that.... Nothing. Spent 5 hours feeding the pickers. However, I managed to land one (technically) legal fish! A bit upsettingly, I noticed after the sun came up that someone had caught a leatherjacket, and just left it on the rocks. A shame. Cheers, Wellzy

Wellzy94
Oh, definitely. I was happy to catch something, but I'll be using smaller hooks next time, too. Size 4 was too big I think, dropped a few fish.
Burger
Think most guys use a size 6 for blackness off the rocks.
Wellzy94
Yeah. Due to the lack of cabbage there, I was just fishing for anything, really. Usually there are bream and jackets around.
