Roe Posted October 27, 2005 Share Posted October 27, 2005 (edited) Welcome to the site. Yes - you need a licence to fish in NSW. Any tackle shop can give you one. If you just want to us a handline somewhere then checkout some of the wharves down near Pier 1. I dont know which are ok - but I often see people fishing from them. You can try clifton gardens wharf if you want to throw big baits with handlines, thatll be your best bet. Or if you wanna tangle with yellowtail and leatherjackets you can try Greenwich wharf, Woolwich wharf or Beulah st wharf in kirribilli, all of these wharfs have an unbeatable view, catching fish here at times seems secondary.
