Ryder
I read there were fish at Pyrmont and it was true. Sometimes my float came up and lay on its side as the fish took the weight of the float. It was a down a drift for the rest of the time. I pulled the hooks on about half a dozen and pulled up tight on a couple of sneaky sleepers. I had my bag in less than two hours with a couple of upgrades. The biggest nudging 40cm. Oldfella
Hi Ryder; Just a little tip that may help. If you are getting an "up" you are probably fishing a bit deep. Try decreasing the depth you are fishing by a bit, That should help you as the fish are probably taking the bait whilst swimming upwards. Give it a go anyway. Cheers Oldfella. Now I think there is a kelp bed. I was too deep

luderick -angler
Good stuff Andrew. Looks like the fish are making their run inside. As for the ups I would say fish swimming up in the burley and sitting higher in the water column. I know your method of depth findings the one I showed you so I don't think you were too deep!
