arthur06
Hey guys, Yesterday I picked some discount squid jigs and was wondering where to use them in the sydney harbour to hawkesbury river/cowan creek areas. Thanks guys.
blaxland
If land based or even out of a boat anywhere there is weed beds and or sand rocks. Some times they just follow a bait in where you dont expect them and if you have a jig handy you can pick them up. Technique is also important I have had most success fishing as close as possible to the weed/bottom with super slow retrieve and small hops when the line is tight. I expect to get snagged I try to fish that close. 12lb line is stronger than most kelp leaves in my experience.

Regan
also if you are fishing from a wharf and you see dark splats everywhere someone has probably caught a squid there at some point
