I'm working in bushland around Voyager Point and want to throw a line in at lunch with the lads from work and am interested to know if the fish are safe to eat in this area? I've searched the forum and noticed nothing's been mentioned in the last few years. I'm also interested to know if it's safe eating around Picnic Point and Illawong? Your help is greatly appreciated! Welster Posted August 22, 2017 Share Posted August 22, 2017 (edited) Eating of fish is prohibited upstream from Rabaul Rd ramp at George's hall. So officially voyager point is ok to eat from. For me personally I wouldn't feel I was eating quality fish ( right or wrong) and wouldn't enjoy it for that reason, so it would be catch and release.
