  1. Hi Frank, I am really sorry to hear things are getting more difficult for you but glad to hear you making the most of the simple pleasures you can do.
  2. Wow what a huge day in average conditions, so much for the forecast. Stopping at the FAD paid off big time it looks like some of them are getting up there in size as well. After making the call to persevere with heading to browns it is good to see you boating a few fish from the deep to add to the catch. I knew it wouldn't take you long to come up with a solution for the foggy screen. Great report Zoran.
  3. Making good memories that is what its all about. Your grandson will remember that Cod for a long time.
  4. Yes the midship bollard would make life so much easier. I am keen if the timing works out.
  5. 18kg of drag that must have been huge! I was impressed with the ride when we were out. Handling my boat solo by myself since the trip the wharf had a missing bollard leaving only one to tie off to had me reflecting on your system and some mods I should be making. It looks like you are ready for the next few trips.
  6. You always seem to find the fish Chris. Nice mix of fish and it feels kind of strange to say but good to see a few flatties in there.
  7. It looks and sounds like another day out in great conditions and a few good feeds there. That snagged fish would have been so frustrating trying to find a way to get it free.
  8. My Ryobi petrol edger is 25 years plus and still going strong.
  9. Thank’s Zoran for inviting me along on DevOcean it was great it finally worked out. I spent the weekend hoping the weather predictions for Monday would hold which it did. Next time I will try to catch my share of the bait! Driving out to the FAD I expected to see the water temp creep up but that wasn’t to be unfortunately but we still managed a few fish in great conditions. As for the flatties they were elusive again despite our best efforts. I really enjoyed the day with you on DevOcean seeing the methods and systems that you use. I will be filleting and skinning Dollies your way in the future.
  10. They are there now. It often seems to take a while with the first game of a round.
  11. It is the 3rd biggest in the FR records if you submit it.
  12. Wow thats awesome Chris you sure can find the fish. I really don’t recall seeing a Sambo that size caught in Sydney.
  13. You can’t beat quality family time and a top feed. Well done.
  14. A very good result in uncomfortable conditions. Well done.
  15. Wow, thats very impressive. I bet those kids have been talking about it ever since, i know I would be!
  16. With the hot day predicted we kicked off pretty early hoping to avoid the worst of it, it turned out to be a calm overcast day and not as bad as forecast. Plan one was to chase some squid the first 20 minutes or so was slow until we found the jigs that worked. After that we had a steady stream of calamari playing along and a couple of feisty ones giving us a spray. W e set up the downrigger to see if we could convert a squid into a king with no success, so moved onto the artificial reef in Yarra Bay. There was plenty of action there with huge slimies, a salmon that thought it was best to do laps around the other lines and and some undersized flatties. We moved on in search of some flatties on plastic with no success so called it a day. It was nice to be on the water again especially without the crowds. Sorry no pictures today.
  17. Well done on getting out so often the pictures in your report are amazing, thank you for sharing. Cod fishing sounds like a lot of fun when the strike.
  18. That is a very nice pair of fish. What depth were you fishing in?
  19. I am picturing you and your mum doing some funny looking dance moves across the kitchen floor 🤣. Those Environets sure are slow in the water.
  20. That is so annoying when the conditions don't work out. With the Blue Swimmers letting go, i have seen on a fishing show when they are close to the boat but below the surface dropping the rod tip in the water and wrapping them in fishing line before they pet go. It might be worth a try.
  21. What a cracking day you had well done and thanks for the report.
  22. Nice work again Larkin. The reddie had a lucky day would have found its way into the esky if i caught it.
  23. Thats awesome fishing for a weekend in the Hacking. Well done.
  24. Wow well done Chris I didn’t think they would be about yet. Sounds like it may have been a marlin that took a liking to that yakka.
