Reel advice

Hi guys 

Just finished greasing my reels and everytime l finish greasing my reels they make a constant sound does anyone else have this problem if so how do l fix it?

Pretty much all of my older reels make noise in use, it doesn't effect performance in anyway so I just kinda got used to it. It's funny, I got so used to my old noisy reels that when I bought a new reel I hated how silent it was.

Are you talking about spin or overhead. If it's spin and they only make noise when line goes through the bail roller it's normally because that small line bearing needs replacing. Any other sounds are probably from sand or salt stuck to the greace.

Spin and the sound is coming from the internal parts of the reel what grease would you recommend?

I use small amounts of blue marine grease..don't put too much in..sounds like your whackin heaps in there and the gears are riding up and over too thick a coating of grease..rick
