Hobiened
Hit up lake st Clair on the weekend fished the Friday arvo for 6 bass and 2 yellas bass weren’t huge between 28-35cm yellas were lucky I had dinner cooking back at camp one was 41cm the other 39cm. saturday morning only managed 2 bass in the high 30’s then got real hot with the sun beating on me and no wind didn’t fish again until Sunday morning once a few mates turned up. we went seperate directions 2 in the boat and me rocking the PA14 weather was perfect with some good cloud cover in the morning had 3 bass landed within 10mins then started seeing surface strikes so on with the tiny torpedo missed 3 strikes so gave up and went back to the TN60 and got 7 more fish in the next 2hrs nothing huge this time biggest went 37cm. met back up with me mates one had landed 6 bass and a yella one of the bass went 45cm and the yella was a bit of a football the other fella landed 2 bass and 2 yellas he was pretty happy first time he’s caught yellow belly(golden perch) all in all a good weekend away with a few fish landed now to get ready for the COD! Season first trip in a week will keep you all posted
Volitan
Good result. Thanks for the report. Did you camp up there or is there accommodation nearby. I’ve never caught a yella and would like to try, but don’t have camping setup any more. the yellas are caught fishing deep, aren’t they?
