Reel' em in
Hi Guys I had a search on the forum for spots to find yellowtail but couldn't find any recent posts, if anyone could help it would be much appreciated, I do know you can find them around most of the wharf in the hacking but it hard to fish as there is always a lot of people fishing off them and I find it rude to fishing there with a boat. thanks Edited December 29, 2017 by Reel' em in spelling
mtlg
I've had the same dilemma for a while inside the hacking, but here's whats been working for me: I usually have luck around clearer water wharves. I dont fish straight under under the wharf, as that usually means disturbing someone fishing and lots of pickers (yakkas are usually the last ones to go for the baits). Instead, go a few meters away (10-30) while trying to be nearby to structure, burley up , give it a couple of minutes and you should see the yakkas show up. Welster
I generally do better before the sun comes up. Around any moorings specifically at Lilly Pilly. If that doesn’t work I have another go at Jibbon.
frankS
South West arms creek about 300 yards from the entrance a small bay heading off to the south is where I find them, plenty of small jackets there too. Frank
Chakka
Wallys wharf. Go early mornings before the sun comes up like frank mentioned, I've had luck there. Chakka
Berleyguts
I used to get them up in SWA, one of the first bays... where I saw the yellowfin!
