Light reflection

I put a light (beam) on the rocket launcher of the boat to be able to travel at night. When I put the light on, I can't see from the reflection of the hand rail. I covered the handrail with black tape, still get a reflection. What can I cover the rail with so that I don't get the reflection please.

Best not to use anything as a "headlight" just legal navigation lights and a good hand help spotlight only used when close to things, once your eyes become accustomed to the night (night vision) you will be fine.

I fish at night a lot  when travelling i dont use a light  i also turn off white nav light and dim my sounder n gps  any light source will take away your night vision    the only way to use a spotligjt setup is to have it on bow rail as far forward ad possible  so there is no reflected light  on rails or bow
