Lake Macquarie school camp

I have school camp soon on lake Macquarie. The camp site is located on the south east side of bonnells bay. I have never fished the lake mac and have absolutely no idea about fishing in that area. What species are common there, Im guessing flatties, bream. Am I likely to encounter some tailor or sambos?

What lures do you guys recommend. I have a few blades and soft plastics, I will use 4lb fluro leader. 

Any information, tips or expertise would be greatly appreciated, and I will be really hoping to get some good fish! Since I have heard the fishing is quite good around lake Macquarie.
