Hi all,

The Annual Fish-a-thon is on at the Penrith Regatta centre on the 26th of January (Australia Day). :1fishing1:

Entry forms can be down loaded from:

http://www.penrithcity.nsw.gov.au/uploaded...ntry%20Form.pdf

Or forms can be filled in on the day.

Start time is 6am and finish at 10am.

All fishing is catch and release (except Carp) so you will need to bring barbless hooks along.

The Lake is stocked with 48,000 bass that are now in the 30-35cm range with some Carp up to 80cm as well.

The venue is kids freindly but you need to bring your own chairs.

Western Raiders drinks will be on at the Peachtree Hotel after the event for all those interested in a

More details can be obtained from the Regatta centre on (02) 4730 6790.

Great stuff. Thanks for that.

What type of lures and flies should I pack. Does anyone have any local knowledge.

Most bibbed divers in orange work.

It is rare to get bass here on a surface fly but anything resembling a black cricket would be ok.

I will be there with the family.

Not a good idea to take the rod - although tempting - as the :wife: (she who must be obeyed) will not approve.

I will definately wander over and check it out and hopefully identify and say hello to any raiders present
