I am a bit surprised he uses a 4 " angle grinder to do the cutting, I would have thought Plasma cutting would be the go. Although Plasma does leave a slight burr on the bottom of the cut, this is very easy to grind off, means you have to flip each piece as you cut it. noelm Posted September 9, 2022 Share Posted September 9, 2022 A guy down the street from me has built a few boats from just sheets of aluminium, cut it all using basic tools, I helped him on and off when he needed an extra hand to do something, boats from 5.8-6.5 all done in his garage, and all boats are still going strong.
