Ran into this video couple of days ago. I know very little about boats and found it interesting.

Thought others may find it interesting as well.

Very enjoyable viewing.

I am a bit surprised he uses a 4 " angle grinder to do the cutting, I would have thought Plasma cutting would be the go. Although Plasma does leave a slight burr on the bottom of the cut, this is very easy to grind off, means you have to flip each piece as you cut it.

I would like to have a look at one of his boats as the finished product looks (from what I can tell) a well finished product.

A guy down the street from me has built a few boats from just sheets of aluminium, cut it all using basic tools, I helped him on and off when he needed an extra hand to do something, boats from 5.8-6.5 all done in his garage, and all boats are still going strong. He did do one from a pre cut kit for a guy, cane out good too.
