0 Blackfish
Eastern Kelpfish. Also know as a Kelpie/ Kelpfish. Rock Cales have more of a Blunt snout where Kelpfish have a more pointed snout and more smaller white spots. They have come up on here a few times before. Can be a pain taking baits targeted at better fish but should be released unharmed. 2
0 Jiggy
It's a Rock Cale AKA Cockie Rock Cale, Aplodactylus lophodon (Günther, 1859) - The Australian Museum If you like your neighbours or mother in law and get on with them, don't give them this fish to eat! If on the other hand you don't like them, then please give it to them. They are likely to never talk to you again. Cheers Rob
0 noelm
Yep, Blackfish has it pegged! They have very strong pectoral fins and kind of "stand" on the bottom, any diver will have seen them, I do believe those ones are edible, but not for me.......
0 Blackfish
You would need a few of them for a feed, that's if you wanted to try. As Noelm said "But not for me" 1
