Davy
I recently found this site on the internet and just thought it was a quite odd technique, but it seems to have great results. http://www.fishingkites.co.nz/articles/mahi_mahi_fishing.htm Tell me what u think. Little_Flatty
Looks interesting Not so sure if it's very sporting though, but I spose it'd be fun! Wouldn't do it personally though - I'd probably make a mess of it!
Davy
I've seen some really top quality american fishing movies that use kite fishing off the back of a long range vessel to hook 200lb yellowfin off the coast of mexico. its similar the advantage is that you can have your live bait popping in and out of the water making it looking like fleeing bait, the surface strikes are amazing, when the fish hits the kite disconnects. The kite is attached to a seperate fishing rod. They often use the technique with dead flyfish baits! I thought the advantage would be to cast a further distance or something. So with the kite attached to a seperate fishing rod, that means you have two rods? That WOULD be quite a mess if the lines tangled!
