jgoodare Posted August 15, 2023 Share Posted August 15, 2023 Hi all went fishing a couple of weeks ago on the north end rocks of Avalon beach with a mate there was not a single wave shin to knee height on my app. I’m not very experienced at all but a was dropping down squid strips and heads, casting out the squid and throwing metals but only hooked some tiny rock fish or rock cod I think. I was thinking of going there and trying to catch some squid as it looks like they would sit in all those rocks there or go for some bream in general though I would just like to be able to go there and be able to get on to some fish. cheers jack 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Green Hornet Posted August 15, 2023 Share Posted August 15, 2023 It’s always a tough day on the rocks when there’s absolutely no swell to stir up any food for the fish. The two you managed to catch are a eastern kelpfish in the top pic and a wirrah cod below.
