Avalon Beach Fishing - tips

I am looking for any tips for fishing avalon beach gutters,or next to the rocks,what bait?

@jgoodare Generally it’s better to start a new thread rather than bumping an old one. We have split this one into a new thread. 

I’m no expert on the beach, but they change formation all the time and what was there one day may not be there the next. Here’s a good video on how to read a beach: 

 

Many Sydney beaches are smaller and the gutters are normally not as dramatic (and sometimes even non-existent), but the same concepts apply.

As for baits, it depends on what you are fishing for, but you could do far worse than getting a few live beach worms. Most fish will eat them, from whiting to massive mulloway.
