Jethro
Just thought I would share with you all my latest rod creation... Its built on a Forecast SP844 7ft blank. This was going to be a new spinnerbait rod for me.... but my brother decided he wanted a baitcaster for his 30th so what can you do.. The grip Hook holder.... tried to get a bit fancy here Stripper guide... (if thats the right term) Other guide.. Next cab off the rank will either be a new 5wt for me or a mate wants a new spin stick..... decisions, decisions..
Mondo Rock
Great work Jethro - that's a hell of a professional looking finish. Must be very satisfying to see your handiwork come out looking so good. Do you mind if I ask how much a rod like that costs you to build? Looks like something I might enjoy getting into!! mottyman
Hey Jethro, Where can I put my order in for a new 7' flick stick and how much ..... I'm looking for another so I can have a "plastics" rod and a "hard body" rod rigged up so I don't have to swap lures, just pick up another outfit That's a really nice job mate. Cheers David. Jethro
Thanks guys I am very happy with the finished product.... pitty its being shipped up to my brother I was looking forward to getting stuck into a few Glenbawn bass with it... But my brother is only 30 once Do you mind if I ask how much a rod like that costs you to build? I had a mate coming out from the states and I got him to bring a few blanks, guides, etc with him so it worked out a lot cheaper than if you were to buy the bits here. From memory all the components were around $120.
