etay
G'day, never squided in Botany bay, but from what I've heard and experienced squidding in cowan, get a pair of polaroids, find some weed beds on a sandy bottom. Any area like this should hold squid. Best time is early morn or late arvo/evening. I've found that smaller squid jigs work particularly well with a slow retrieve. I use a flouro orange or pink jig. Best to let it sink to just above the weed bed, takes a little trial and error, as you get tangled in the weed a bit. Keep at it, once you crack your first squid, you'll find just how easy it is. Good luck!
