  1. You would be suprised....
  2. If you haven't got a chart plotter on your boat I would get the navionics app for iPhone or android. Its a top app for both fishing boat and land-based. I live in gladesville and have been fishing locally by finding holes on the app. Try abbotsford area as well. Plenty of jew-holes up there and they have been firing lately. Cheers, Michael
  3. Snyder glass mt8144 is the way to go. Bit on the heavy side but have no issues casting the big baits and bringing in the jews
  4. Pendulum Casting....Have a look on Youtube Need plenty of room though
  5. Saw the same thing and wondered what was going on. I'll be waiting for an apology in tomorrows paper
  6. Yeh its up in the cove. were fishing a deep spot up there, dropped from a few metres down to like 5 or 6 metres.
  7. My mate caught this on sydney harbour on fresh prawns. Measured 44cm. I followed him with a nice 32cm bream. Good day out on the water
  8. Just thought i would post a photo up of the bream my mate caught while fishing on my new boat that i have been working on to get it on the water. Took it out on a nice day with no wind and caught this 44cm monster, followed by a smaller 32cm. Looks like its big enough to be close to a record on fishraider. Cheers, Michael
  9. Hey fellow raiders, been checking out this site for a while and thought i would ask for some advice. I currently have a 4m quintrex tinnie with a johnson 15hp and while its a good little boat for fishing, im looking for something a bit bigger, preferably a half cabin type. Because im just new to boating i dont want to go out and spend heaps on something i might not use, so ive been looking at the older fibreglass ones with a half decent outboard. My question is what price should i expect for an older half cabin with an outboard in good condition. Also which brands should i stay away from? Ive seen some go on ebay for around 5000 but im not sure if thats too cheap because it might have problems. I will be using it for fishing around the harbour both day and night fishing. Cheers
