Hi All I'd be very keen for Narrabeen, at any time. Sorry, but cannot put my hand up for organising as I know nothing about beach fishing and really want to learn ... especially reading the surf/beach. Swordfish, sorry about the no start recently ... did you go to Windang? Just too far for me and was in Melbourne the 2 days before. Put me in for a beach fishing social at Narra though. regards Mike

Hi Netic Yeah ... I noticed that too, but I think some of them are brand new and complete units. Nevertheless, most of the stuff I have bought from the site has ended up being around 50% of new pice (computers, VCR's, home entertainment etc.) Just thought it may be of interest to some raiders. Hi Raiders Not sure if this is appropriate, but there is an auction site that I have used many times and I noticed today that they have some Lowrance GPS units on there. I don't have a boat, but I thought that if any of you guys were in the market then this may be worth looking at. As I say, I have bought lots of stuff from here, and I like it because you are buying from an auction house and not individuals - most of the stuff is manufacturer excess stock, demos etc. and a lot is brand new. Hi Beach Fisho I'm really keen to get out and give it a go over the next few weeks. No luck on Monday, but truth be known I am not much of a fisherman!! Hi Raiders I am land based and hoping to head out and wet a line this afternoon ( I know it's late notice!!!), so if anyone is sitting around or planning to go out then maybe we could meet up. I am on the northern beaches (Dee Why), have a car and just about every type of fishing gear around (I target anything that is stupid enough to take my bait!!) I will probably just drop down to flat rock at Curly and try for some blackfish. Best regards Mike

Hi Raiders I live about 600m from Dee Why Beach and I have never fished there ... probably because I don't really understand the tricks and methods of beach fishing. I was wondering if any other raiders live in this area and would be keen to go out for a session and give me some pointers, or whether anyone knows of any beach fishing guides/schools/courses??? Hi Raiders I am thinking about heading out for a land based session tomorrow ... anyone interested in joining me? I live at Dee Why and sometimes go to Clifton Gardens, but am keen to expand my horizons. I have a car, so travelling is no problem and I'll fish anywhere ... wharf, rocks, beach, lake ... puddle!!! Any suggestions on easy to get to spots between Dee Why and Cliffo would also be appreciated. Cheers Mike

Hi All A guy my wife works with has recently been fishing at Bluefish Point at North Head/Manly and has been having a fair bit of success (he says he is catching tuna, but I am not so sure). Does anybody know anything about this spot, like specifics on where to fish and some pointers on the type of gear needed? I will find out some more when I can talk to this guy (have never met him before) and share his info with everyone. Thanks Mike

Hmmm ... good question ... stuffed if I know!! The plan is to try a paternoster off the edge of the wharf for a some live yellowtail and then toss them out (if I get any) for whatever likes them. Otherwise, I have some squid and pillies to throw out there and see if anything bites. Any suggestions??
