  6. just bought the latest fishing monthly, looking at fishing my local spots and low and behold, its apparently on,by this im talking about the mighty hawkesbury. This is the time off year i adore, allthough there have been no westerlys warm that is,the mighty jews are on the move, the articale pretty much somes it up,i tend to fish this part of the systerm all year round but now is the holy graly. You wouldnt think jews as big as 20 kgs get up this far as [wiesmans] but tey do.So its time to put work aside and hit it,hope to show u a report in a day or 2 and show u how good the upper hawkesbury can b.

  10. What a day where do i start here goes.Got to brooklyn about 6ish loaded up the boat and we were away.Weather was against us from the start but we were determined.20 minutes in and bang one of my offsiders hooks onto a75 cm lizard went for the net but it was nowhere 2 be found went for the gaff not in sit either left them in the car.Lizzard spat hook not happy, now at this point we should have gone back and got it but this never happened.Did a drift across mullet creek for a 50 cm flatty and lost another around 70 cm no net.Headed behind danger island 2 escape the wind got a couple more flatties 40cm and a few flounder.Decided 2 hit the rail bridge anchored up 2 45cm soapies straight off the bat then a 35 cm bream. This is the sad part, mate hooks up on his small rig has a good tussel i call it a jew 2 my suprise he pulls the biggest lizzard i have ever seen it was easy a meter all we had 2 do was land this croc and we were in with a very good chance of winning this comp.but useing a milk crate as a landing net it was never going 2 happen. He spat the hook and some profound language echoed across the mighty hawkesbury. We cut our losses and headed back ,we still had a good feed and we were out there. You cant win them all
