  4. I've gotta work tonight so i hope you guys nail some fat arsed carp and have a beer or three for me
  5. Jo both lanes were open Pedro, there were two guys about to put a boat in when I had to go for a swim, they would have been pissing themselves
  6. we had a bit of a sleep in( since its Friday after all) and decided to Launch at Davy Robinson Reserve (Milperra Flower Power) after reading the ramp review somewhere on this site. I am a beginner( this is the second outing on the boat) and this ramp was a piece of piss. The wharf/jetty has been appears to have been repaired too, which was lucky cause i needed to use it. I got the boat started at the ramp and pushed my Mrs off in the boat. The idea was that she would scoot around to the jetty, whilst I grabbed a few things from the car( which we had already moved from the ramp). Sounded like a good idea at the time!!! Unfortunately the boat stalled ( it is pretty tempremental) and began scooting upstream with the tide, which was flowing fairly quickly. After a couple of attempts to get it going again(no luck), I made it down to the jetty and had to dive in and swim out. At least the sun was out and the water was warm. We got the boat going, stopped back at the jetty to pick up my clothes that I had ripped off before the swim and took off again , only to realise that I had keft my sunnies on the jetty. Back we go again Finally we head off downstream to somewhere between Alfords point and Princess Beach. Got a few bites and landed a small ( 15cm) Taylor ( I think), which got sent back in the drink. After a bit we motored over to a spot opposite Sandy bottom point, where we had a few decent hits and the mrs landed a decent bream. we were using prawns and squid ( prawns were by far the most popular). We made it home by about 300 before the day turned ugly. All in all a pretty good day!
  7. my mrs usually out fishes me she'll bait her own hooks and fix her own rigs, she drinks , and doesn't care if you pee over the side The funniest was when we went on a charter boat down the south coast, and all these guys were grumbling about her getting on board. Not only did she out fish them that day, the icing on the cake was that most of them got chronic sea sickness and spewed all day whilst we sat around drinking tins and catching fish. They had the nerve to want to split the catch when we got back to shore It would annoy me having anyone around ( guy or girl) that bitched and moaned all day Edited to remove all the swear words. I am not a prude but we have a family audience on the site. Swear words really aren't necessary. Pedro
  8. good point commercial fishing in these water ways is bullshit and needs to be stopped
  9. thanks for the help guys. I found this over at bias too, anyone tried it http://www.biasboating.com.au/ 7695 eazy lift anchor line
  10. great job mate, it looks awesome
  11. i need help finding a knot! I'll explain this as best I can.......... It's kind of difficult( not impossible) to get to the bow of my boat( mostly because I am a large gumbified unit). I would like to throw my anchor off and tie it to the bow( with a knot I can easily undo), then lead some rope back to either side of the boat to tie of securely. Basically i wouldn't have a problem getting back to the bow to pull the anchor up in calm weather, but any sort of swell would make it pretty difficult. Is there some kind of slip knot that I could use on the bow, where I could just pull from the side of the boat and release the knot??????? If that made no sense it's one of four reasons 1 I've been on the 2 I'm semi ****** half illiterate 3 see #1 4 i can't remember what the hell four was thanks for the help
  12. yeah, but if he was pissed..........it's a different story. still a hard lesson to learn especially after the death of a mate
